Daily Living Support
Daily living support helps people manage everyday tasks safely and confidently, while continuing to live independently in their own home. As people get older, or as health and mobility change, routine tasks can begin to feel more tiring or overwhelming.

Daily living support provides practical, respectful help — stepping in where needed, while always encouraging independence and personal choice.
Supporting Everyday Routines
At Caring Companions, daily living support is about enabling normal life to continue. Our carers work alongside individuals to support routines rather than replace them.
Support is delivered calmly, without rushing, and always in a way that feels comfortable and dignified.
What Daily Living Support Can Include
Daily living support is flexible and tailored to individual needs. It may include:
- Help with meal preparation and drinks
- Light household tasks such as tidying or laundry
- Support with shopping or errands
- Help organising the day and maintaining routines
- Assistance with correspondence or appointments (such as local GP or hospital visits)
- Support with mobility around the home
- Gentle prompting for medication (where appropriate and agreed)
Promoting Independence and Confidence
A key part of daily living support is encouraging people to do as much as they comfortably can for themselves. Our carers provide support where it is genuinely helpful, while avoiding unnecessary dependency.
Caring Companions is fully regulated by Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW).
